About TriangleSource

TriangleSource.com is a community resource tool for those living or visiting The Triangle region, comprised of Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and their surrounding communities.

Our goal is to be a resource where residents and visitors can easily search, discover and share local information regarding things to do, events to attend and local businesses to patronize.

Currently, we provide:
  • The ability to search local events by what, where and/or when.
  • A place where you can post local events, allowing others to find, learn and share these events.
  • Local theater showtimes, movie information and allow reviews from registered users.
  • Local restaurant listings (excluding fast-food), features, location maps, and offer member comments/reviews.
  • A free and simple way for local organizations ranging from community groups, museums, galleries, schools, town recreation centers, performance venues and many others to create and promote their events to our regions' diverse population.

We believe in local “network effects”—the idea that the value or utility of a web site goes up as more people use it. And for people to learn, understand and use a web site it must have great content AND place the users' experience first.

TriangleSource.com was built with the end user in mind, by asking questions like. How would users like to search local events and view the results? What's the easiest way to submit and edit event information? What are the essential pieces of information that would make event and restaurant details valuable to those interested and how can we facilitate the sharing of this information? And why not allow others to share their experiences through reviews and comments.

Did we get it completely right? No. That's why we encourage your feedback and suggestions.

Simply put, we're your source for “What do you want to do, honey?”
