Bass Lake Park and Retreat Center is proud to be a North Carolina Environmental Education Center and is home to the annual Holly Springs TurtleFest on the second Saturday in May and Bass Lake Day, on the first Saturday of October.

The park is open year round from 8am to sunset; the retreat center is available for meetings, weddings and other special events, weekend packages are available, plus weekday packages for business meetings.

The have boat rentals seven days a week - Memorial Day through Labor Day. Rentals are weekends only from mid-March until Memorial Day and from Labor Day through the end of October. Also available are park-owned watercraft - canoes and jon boats. Fishing is allowed in designated areas.  Everyone over the age of 16 must have a state license to fish.
