Homestead Park
Located within the park are Homestead Dog Park, Chapel Hill Skate Park & Batting Cage
Facilities include a kids playground, walking trail, baseball field, basketball court, soccer field, picnic area, shelter and restrooms.
Homestead Dog Park
The park is open dawn to dusk. Dogs can run and play without a leash in the enclosed area.
* Dog owners must be 12 years or older or be supervised by an adult at all times while in park
* Dogs must be at least 6 months old
* Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting the park
* Dog owners must have leash in hand at all times
* Dogs must be under voice control at all times while in the park
* Dog owners must be in the park and within view of their dogs while the dogs are using the park
* Dog feces must be cleaned up by owners
* Dog owners must fill in any holes created by their dogs
* Dogs must be removed from the dog park at the first sign of aggression
* Female dogs in heat are prohibited from the park
* In addition, dogs are prohibited from entering athletic fields.
The Batting Cage & Skate Park Schedule
August 27 - May 2008
Monday - Thursday 3:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Friday 3:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon (Beginner’s Only)
12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m. (Normal Session)
Sunday 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m.
The batting cage has six stations that provide hitters with softball and baseball pitches at a variety of speeds.
