JC Raulston Arboretum 919-515-3132

A nationally acclaimed garden with the most diverse collection of cold hardy temperate zone plants in the southeastern United States; part of the Department of Horticultural Science at NC State University, the Arboretum is primarily a working research and teaching garden that focuses on the evaluation, selection and display of plant material gathered from around the world. The arboretum offers events throughout the year including Friends of the Arboretum Lectures, workshops, tours, Friends of the Arboretum Annual Plant Distribution, and other horticultural events.

Admission is free. Tours are available to the public free of charge every Sunday at 2:00 PM from March-October.
