Joel Lane Museum House Visitors Center 919-833-3431

An authentic restoration of an 18th-century manor house providing a way for 21st-century Americans to reflect on what their country means to them and to understand the sacrifices made by their ancestors.  Those sacrifices resulted in the freedoms we have today to worship, think, and speak as we wish. The Joel Lane House is located on the corner of St. Mary’s and West Hargett Streets in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Wednesday - Friday:
Tours at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00 & 1:00
Saturday:
Tours at 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00
(Closed Sunday & Monday)

The house will open for special events during this time and is open for group tours by appointment. The office and gift shop are often open even if the Museum is closed. The Visitors Center where tours begin is located at 160 South St. Mary’s Street.

Parking is free. On-street parking is available on Hargett Street in front of the Museum House and on St. Mary’s Street in front of the Visitors Center.
